It is increasingly evident that much of the scholarly work currently done in social sciences converges on issues which impact international relations both in policy formulation and its implementation through bilateral or multilateral arrangements . Issues such as Energy, Environment, Technology, Food , Health, Education, Refugees , Migration , Capital, Work, Agriculture, Trade ,Political Formations, Poverty, Children, Literature and Ideas , are now studied across disciplines situating the Local in the Global.
This Conference is proposed both to reflect the manner in which India is negotiating its position on the emerging global issues in the world community and to pool together current scholarship shaping India’s position on these issues. The objective is to bring into focus India’s policy options and a critical evaluation of their salience.
Interested scholars are requested to submit their Abstracts not exceeding 350 words with a three line Bio-note indicating their present positions/or institutional affiliations along with emails and contact phone numbers, by 1st September 2012 at firstname.lastname@example.org with a subject line ”India in World Affairs”
