The POP! History Journal is a peer reviewed historical
journal dealing with all things pop culture. We are looking for submissions of academic research papers on the influences of popular culture in American history. This includes music, film, television, literature, fashion and all things pop culture. Submissions will be reviewed by our editorial staff of graduate history students.
POP! History Journal was the brain child of a group of
history graduate students who wanted to see a historical journal devoted to the aspects of popular culture. We look forward to reading your submissions and putting together an inaugural issue of POP! that will change how popular culture is studied in history.
To submit to POP! please provide a 250 word abstract for
our editors to review on the web form.
If your abstract is accepted for publication, you will
receive and e-mail requesting a full copy of your
article.
Articles are expected to be between 1,500-5,000
words.
Articles must adhere to the Chicago Manual of
Style.
Articles can be on any topic pertaining to popular
culture—be creative and have fun!!!
