The peer-reviewed historical journal "On the Jewish Stree/Íà Åâðåéñêîé Óëèöå: A Journal of Russian-Jewish History and Culture," invites submissions of research essays, bibliographic essays, and documentary materials on all aspects of Jewish history in the Russian Empire and the USSR.
Manuscripts for consideration should be submitted as digital files in Microsoft Word, with the author’s name in the document (file) title. All submissions will be anonymously peer reviewed. To facilitate anonymous review, we ask that authors please not identify themselves in the manuscript text.
Manuscripts should follow the Chicago Manual of Style. Transliterations should follow the Library of Congress system, but when appropriate, authors may leave text in its original Russian or Ukrainian form. Although the journal’s primary language is English, we also will consider publication of contributions in Russian (with accompanying English-language summaries). Please direct submissions and inquiries regarding submissions to the editor by email at mhickey@bloomu.edu.
