The Association of Greek Art Historians (AGAH), (member of the Comit¨¦ International d'Histoire de l'Art, CIHA) in collaboration with the Department of Theory and History of Art, (ASFA) organizes its 4th Conference in Art History under the general title ¡°Research Issues in Art History from the Late Middle Ages to the present.¡± The purpose of the Conference is to offer art historians, who live and work in Greece and abroad, a platform for the presentation of new and original research. Our aim is to include papers from the entire spectrum of research in the history of art from the early modern period to the present. The organizers invite papers by researchers at different stages of their career including doctoral students, independent scholars, academic staff, curators etc. Please note that membership to AGAH (Association of Greek Art Historians) is not compulsory for inclusion in the programme. Potential participants are invited to submit:
1. A letter of application together with a proposal for a 20-minute paper including a title and abstract in Greek (maximum 400 words).
2. A brief CV with full contact details and current professional status of applicant.
Proposals should be addressed to the Organizing Committee-4th Conference in Art History, and should be sent electronically to both of the following email addresses: firstname.lastname@example.org and email@example.com.
Deadline for submissions: 30 June 2012.
All applicants will receive an acknowledgment of receipt of their paper proposals within 10 days from the date of their application. Acceptance notification will be send by July, 31st at the latest.
Official conference language: Greek
The organizers will make every possible effort to secure adequate funds for the coverage of travel expenses and two-night accommodation for those among the speakers who will have to travel from outside Athens and have no other residential alternative. The relevant expenses for speakers from abroad will be covered within the limits of the conference¡¯s budget.
The conference proceedings will be published.
