American Art: The Museum, the Academy, and the Art Market

On October 11-13, the Associations of Historians of American will hold its second symposium in Boston, MA. The symposium is planned around the theme of “American Art: The Museum, the Academy, and the Art Market. The keynote speaker will be Holland Cotter, art critic for the New York Times. Sessions will be held at the Boston Athenaeum and Boston University. Additional events include a special viewing of the newly installed Art of the Americas wing at the Museum of Fine Arts, Boston, and a reception at the Boston University Art Gallery.
