Book Project: “A Symphony of Flavours, Music & Food in Concert”
The University of Cape Verde calls for chapter contributions to a multiauthored book to be published in 2015.
The book explores the interconnectedness of music and food and their meaningful relations. With a multicultural approach, contributions are invited from scholars, researchers and students focusing on any world culture and historical period. We invite proposals related to music-food links from academic fields such as history, literature, music theory, philosophy, religion studies, anthropology, sociology, linguistics, media and communications, migration studies, business studies, geography, psychology, gender studies, art history and cultural studies.
Proposals for contributions are to be submitted via email to firstname.lastname@example.org, including a chapter abstract (about 300 words) and CV. Proposals may be submitted in English, Cape Verdean Creole, French, Portuguese and Spanish. A selection will be considered for the publication of the book in late 2015.
