The 2013 Program Committee of the Southern Historical Association, chaired by Cynthia Kierner, George Mason University, has issued a call for papers for its seventy-ninth annual meeting, which will be held in St. Louis on October 31 – November 3, 2013. All submissions should be made electronically through the SHA website. The deadline for submissions is September 15, 2012. In accordance with SHA by-laws, no one who participated on the previous two programs, either in Baltimore or Mobile, is eligible for participation on the 2013 program. Full session proposals are encouraged and stand a better chance of acceptance than single paper proposals.
