The Teachers Without Borders Introduction to Peace Education course supports educators in their professional development as peace educators and connects them with like-minded colleagues around the world through a supportive virtual learning environment. The 3-part online course invites participants to learn about peace education theory and practice, and how to apply it to their personal and professional lives.
Module 2, the Scope of Peace Education, explores the different fields that fall within the broader umbrella of peace education, and includes the key theories, knowledge, values, and skills needed for the promotion of that field, and also includes one sample lesson. The lessons are here to serve as a practical guide on how to implement peace education principles, as well as to help get your creative ideas flowing about how you can design your own lessons for your context. The coursework consists of weekly discussion forums and assignments.
