DHi and the Burke Library at Hamilton College Announce the Availability of the 'Civil War Letters Collection'

The Digital Humanities Initiative (DHi) and the Burke Library at Hamilton College is pleased to announce the availability of the Civil War Letters Collection (see, http://cwl.dhinitiative.org). This collection features 456 letters from soldiers from Oneida County, New York to their families and friends. Items in the repository have been scanned in color to provide researchers to see details of the original items. The full text of each letter is searchable through TEI and a side-by-side view of the image and the transcribed texts are available for enhanced research capabilities.
