The International Festival of Independent Filmmakers
It is our pleasure to invite you to the first international conference of independent filmmakers, brought to you by the Cinematic and Audio-visual deputy of the ministry of culture. The conference will host filmmakers, cinematographers, scholars and activists from around the world to discuss major issues addressed over the recent wave of awakening throughout America, Europe and Islamic countries. Based on the notion "Path toward justice", the event will take place on the sidelines of the International Festival of Independent Filmmakers due to be held on June 30th, 2012 in Tehran.
Festival Sections:
* Primary competitions
Short Films (up to 52 minutes)
Long Films (60 minutes or longer)
* Peripheral meetings and Workshops

Call for papers:
We welcome proposals for papers and films addressing the following issues.
1. The Occupy movement in Wall Street America and Europe
2. The Fall of regional monarchies and awakening movements in Islamic countries
3. The economic crisis in Europe and America
4. The role of AIPAC in the current American and European crisis
5. A World without terrorism and nuclear weapons
6. The threat of war against Iran and the Anti-war Movements.
7. The introduction of political figures in the fight against imperialism.
8. Islam phobie and Iran phobie
9. A world toward sustained Justice.
Registration information:
If you wish to attend the conference, please complete the enclosed registration form and include an abstract of your paper and/or a short sample of your film (5 min max).
If you wish to take part in the festival as well, kindly view the enclosed "General information and guidelines" and fill in the enclosed "Film submission form".
Registration fee
No registration fee is required. The conference will cover the expenses of your travel to Iran, including airfare, transportation, accommodation and meals. Further details will be provided later.
