The Spiritual Quest in Humanities
11–13 May 2012 Tirana, Albania
As the philosophy and science failed in their attempt to provide a comprehensive worldview and meaning in the 20th century, Humanities disciplines restarted discussing the role of religion and spirituality. Nowadays, sociologists are discussing the return of the sacred; Psychiatrists are discussing the role of spirituality in the rehabilitation of psychiatric problems; Philosophers are talking about Post-modernism and new age spirituality.
In this first meeting of the International Conference on Humanities, titled “The Spiritual Quest in Humanities” we will be discussing the subject with all its aspects. We invite you to join us in this intellectual endeavor of rethinking the ways in which spirituality can contribute to Humanities disciplines.
