Texas State Phi Alpha Theta invites graduate and undergraduate students of all levels to submit proposals for its Second Annual History Graduate Student Conference to be held on November 10, 2012, in San Marcos, Texas. We welcome submissions on all topics related to history or public history.
The deadline for paper and poster proposals is due June 1, 2012. Please include a 300-word abstract, including title, author, contact information (email address and postal address), and a brief curriculum vitae.
This year’s conference will include breakfast, lunch, undergraduate panels, various workshops, a poster session, and a keynote speaker. Professors from the Texas State history department will serve as panel commentators for the graduate panels and participate in the workshops. Graduate students from the Texas State history department will serve as panel commentators for the undergraduate panels. Details regarding the keynote speaker will be forthcoming.
Again, proposal submissions are due by June 1, 2012. Participants will be informed of their acceptance by June 15, 2012. A completed 10-12 page paper or a file containing the content of your poster must be received no later than September 21, 2012.
