On Thursday, 19 April 2012 at 5.30 pm, Dr Azmanova will offer a research lecture, From claims to injustice to social reform: Political judgment facing the conflicting demands of the 'Arab Spring', where she will address the trajectory revolt-revolution-transformation that the societies touched by the Arab Spring are now undergoing. She will inquire into the dynamics that translate, with varied degrees of success, the social grievances triggering revolutions into effective social change and political consolidation.
Albena Azmanova teaches political and social theory at the University of Kent’s Brussels School of International Studies.
