The SUNY COIL Center is a leader in the emerging field of Globally Networked Learning (GNL); a teaching and learning methodology which provides innovative cost-effective internationalization strategies. GNL programs foster faculty and student exchange with peers abroad through co-taught multicultural online and blended learning environments that emphasize experiential collaboration.
This year's conference will feature a Keynote Address from Darla Deardorff, the Executive Director of the Association of International Education Administrators (AIEA) and editor of The Sage Handbook of Intercultural Competence.
Conference session highlights include:
* Moving from Words to Actions: A roundtable discussion for Senior Administrators on developing COIL programs and partnerships to meet campus internationalization goals.
* Empowering Faculty in the Globally-Networked Classroom: Maximizing international partnerships through technology and engaging faculty in international/technological initiatives.
* Using Cloud Computing to Connect Culturally Diverse Classrooms in a Blended Learning Environment: Incorporating technology to collaborate, deepen learning and increase access.
