Human[i]ties Perspective is an academic conference and career orientation event supported by the DG of Education and Culture of the European Commission. As part of the REALISE IT joint initiative between the Erasmus Mundus Association (EMA) and OCEANS Network, this conference aims to facilitate a collective reflection on some of the key challenges facing the Humanities in the 21st century in Europe among young academics, professionals, and professors.
We welcome the submission of paper proposals, academic or project-based, on any topic or period related to the following themes:
1 European Cultural Diplomacy and Cultural Policy
2 Communication, Media & Participation
3 Education: Teaching Competencies for Empowerment
4 Women’s Empowerment in a Globalized Society
Paper proposals must include:
• Name of the author(s) and current position
• Biographical note (150-200 words)
• Paper abstract of no more than 300-500 words (clearly indicating the theme of interest)
The deadline for the submission of paper proposals is Monday 30 April 2012 (17:00 GMT).

Selected participants will be notified on or shortly after 15 May.
