Transnational Subjects invites submissions for a special issue, organized around the theme “Transnational histories of drugs”. The scope of the issue is broad: the editor is looking for submissions that engage with any aspect of the history of drugs or alcohol from a transnational perspective. Articles may examine, for example, a substance’s production, consumption, movement along transnational networks, cultural, social or political identity. Both medical and non-medical contexts may be considered. The deadline for submissions is August 15, 2012.
