Empires Past and Present: Is the EU a New Empire?

This one-day symposium on the campus of the University of Pittsburgh will feature speakers on the history and historiography of empires and ask the question: Is the European Union a new kind of empire? Presentations throughout the day on April 6, 2012 in 4217 Posvar Hall (230 South Bouquet Street). All panels are free and open to the public.
