Exploring Migration: A Graduate Student Conference
Sussex Centre for Migration Research (SCMR)
University of Sussex
21 -22 June 2012
The first SCMR-funded conference was launched last year with the title ‘Migration Research in Progress’ and brought together a dynamic group of researchers from different countries and universities. Building on this success, the PhD students in Migration Studies at the University of Sussex are glad to announce the second two-day international graduate student conference aimed at exploring the latest theoretical and empirical developments in the rapidly evolving interdisciplinary field of migration. This is a great opportunity for researchers working on innovative migration-related doctoral projects to present their work and receive constructive and critical feedback from interested and qualified peers. Presentations at all stages of the PhD projects adopting qualitative, quantitative and mixed-methods from different disciplinary and theoretical perspectives are welcome. We encourage a wide and creative range of themes and contributions to multi-sited and comparative approaches.
