Please take a few moments to scroll down and learn a about a ground breaking new project, “Gallipoli1915-Live”, that will reach millions through twitter.

“Gallipoli1915-Live” is a real time live tweeting project. This is the world premiere and the first time a campaign of this kind has ever been undertaken, one which will post the historic events live on Twitter on each day and the exact time as they happened in 1915.

The campaign will start on March 18th, the day the Allied fleet tried to fight its way past the Turkish defenses along the Dardanelles, marking the beginning of the main action of the Gallipoli Campaign. To mark the event and the beginning of the project, Turkey’s President Abdullah Gül will post the very first tweet. “Gallipoli1915-Live” will last until the 9th of January 2013, the anniversary of the day on which the campaign officially ended.

This major database will be on offer at all times for free. Gallipoli, which has gone down in history, will once more occupy a much more specific place in memory through research, knowledge, science and in an easily accessible and comprehensible form.
