Evolving Motherhood Conference at The Museum of Motherhood
MAY 17, 18, 19, 2012
New York City, USA
The Evolving Motherhood Conference asks: How has the role of mother evolved over time? How have our ways of conceptualizing motherhood changed? This conference welcomes a variety of disciplinary and media approaches to these questions, so that our multiple lenses might begin to provide critical insights into human behavior, historical perspectives, narratives, and practices. We encourage submissions that draw direct links between theory or research findings and practical approaches relevant to issues that mothers face in the world today. We hope to provide new ideas and approaches for tackling issues of concern relating to mothers and others who fill a care giving role.
