(http://goldbergcenter.osu.edu) will be hosting joint sessions at the American Historical Association annual meeting in New Orleans January 3–6 2013 on the topic “Current Events in Historical Perspective.” We seek submissions for papers that analyze a particular contemporary issue-–political, cultural, economic or social-–in a larger, deeper historical context.

Authors of papers accepted for the sessions will be invited to submit their work for consideration in Origins: Current Events in Historical Perspective (http://ehistory.osu.edu/osu/origins/) the Goldberg Center’s monthly e-newsmagazine.
