On March 19, 2012, Domenico Losurdo will speak at the Graduate Center at CUNY about his latest book, Liberalism: A Counter-History, examining the ways in which liberalism, as a philosophical position and ideology, has historically been bound up with the most illiberal of policies: slavery, colonialism, genocide, racism and snobbery.
