The International Vladimir Nabokov Society invites paper proposals on the theme "Nabokov and American Literature" for a guaranteed panel session at the MLA 2013 meeting in Boston (January 3-6, 2013). We are seeking papers on Nabokov as an American writer; on his interest in specific American literary figures (Poe, Melville, Hawthorne, etc.), in American landscapes and settings, or in American culture, broadly conceived; and/or on his role in the American canon. 300-word abstracts by 19 March 2012 to Christopher A. Link (linkc@newpaltz.edu).
PLEASE NOTE: Panel participants must be members of the MLA no later than 7 April 2012 and members of the Nabokov Society by the time of the conference.
