publication of Dr. Joseph Canning’s latest work, Ideas of
Power in the Late Middle Ages, which explores a
fundamental problem in the history of political thought –
where does legitimate authority lie?
Dr. Canning will be presenting his work among students
and scholars in the fields of medieval history and the
history of political thought.
