I am seeking a 4th paper for the panel "Challenges to families in the west". Since the Social Science History Association takes place in Vancouver this fall, we would like to highlight family demography in western contexts, including the Pacific coast. Our panel currently includes two papers on B.C. and another on the U.S. midwest. It would be great to find an additional paper on families on the U.S. west coast.
