MIXII (merging intermedia) Conference – July 16th – 18th, 2012 and Liberated Words digital narrative/ videopoetry and gaming exhibition
Sarah Tremlett (videopoet, artist and writer) and poet, novelist and senior lecturer in Creative Writing at Bath Spa University Lucy English, have joined forces to bring together an international forum for discussing and presenting digital narratives at the MIXII conference at Corsham Court , Bath July 16th-18th.
Sarah, who completed an MA in Creative Writing at Bath Spa University said: ‘With Mark Amerika, George Aguilar, Maria Mencia and Tom Konyves taking part, alongside an Open Exhibition of new and established talent – this a seminal moment both for Bath Spa and for getting to grips with a ground-breaking genre. ’
Conference paper submissions are welcome on all forms of digital narrative – from sky’s-the-limit, interactive storytelling to gaming and conceptual videopoetry; whilst the exhibition theme has been inspired by the recent discovery of a series of Fluxus-related prints at Corsham Court – and the work ‘Liberated Words’ by Eugenio Carmi.
