The organizing committee is pleased to announce the 1st LifeThrough Movement International Conference in South Africa -27 to the 29th of September 2012.
The conference is presented by the Biokinetic Association of South Africa in collaboration with the School for Biokinetics, Recreation and Sports Sciences (School of BRS) and the Research Focus area Physical activity, Sport and Recreation (PhASRec) within the Faculty of Health Sciences, North-West University (Potchefstroom Campus).
The conference and workshops will be CPD accredited and presenters could earn double CPD points.
AIM:
The conference that is organized around the theme, “Physical activity and exercise as a holistic intervention and enhancement modality", aims to bring different role players together to promote performance, health and well-being through physical activity. The conference will focus on the understanding, implementation and role of physical activity and exercise in different settings of life and
health.
This conference would like to enhance the identity of Biokinetics (Life Through Movement-LTM) by providing network opportunities and inter-disciplinary collaborations for colleagues in the field of physical activity and health. To serve this purpose the conference would like
to facilitate learning and motivating collaboration through pre-conference workshops, keynote addresses, research presentations,debates, café conversations and informal discussions.
