Call for NCA panelists: Korean Wave 2.0

We are a group of two students (UIUC and Temple Univ.) and one professor (UIUC) who are working on the Korean Wave. For this year’s NCA, we are interested in submitting a panel on the current Korean Wave that is centered on K-pop. We welcome papers that explore the relationship between the Korean Wave and new media technology (Youtube, Twitter and so on) or cultural industry (SM Entertainment, JYP, YG, and their Japanese partner and international strategies and impact on global culture). Basically, We would like to see institutional and/or technological aspects of the wave. However, as far as your topic is related to the Korean Wave, it will be surely considered.
