The 59th California History Institute will focus on "Women as History-Makers in California." A field trip by bus to the California State Museum on March 23 to "Women and the Vote" and "Notable Women in Calfornia History" opens the symposium. On March 24, panels and papers on Pacific's Stockton campus bring scholars, students, and the public together. Keynote luncheon speaker: Judy Yung, U. C. Santa Cruz. Other speakers include Edith Sparks, Jessica Weiss, Alice Van Ommeren, Dawn Bohulano Mabalan, Emil Guillermo, Michael Wurtz, Nancy Unger, Tracy Perkins, Teresa DeAnda, Alison Alkon, and Jennifer Helgren.
