Call for Book Chapter Proposals - Ice Hockey in Quebec – The Same, but Different?

Our proposed edited volume will look at the roles and meanings of ice hockey in Quebec. In particular, we are seeking papers on: hockey as a sporting cultural bridge; women's hockey in Quebec; rivalries within and outside Quebec; changing hockey symbolism in Quebec; hockey as a marker of nationhood; the language of hockey in Quebec; historical studies of the game in Quebec.
Those interested in participating are asked to send statements of interest and abstracts of approximately 300 words by April 15, 2012.
