The Aging, Mobility and Quality of Life (AMQoL) 2012 conference will focus on the particular requirements of elderly people for transport/mobility that gives them access to the various activities and services that maintain their health and well-being and enhance their quality of life.
Organised by the University of Michigan and Elsevier, the conference will bring together experts from a range of fields, including gerontology, transport research, psychologists, urban planners, safety researchers, engineers and more.
Streams will address mobility-related characteristics and activities of elderly people, including spacial cognition and wayfinding, exercise and health, and transport safety, amongst many others. Streams will also address technological and policy responses, including building design, urban planning and environmental design, amongst others.
Keynote Speakers include James S. Jackson, Christine Milligan and Martin Wachs.
