From Istanbul to Berlin: 50 Years of Turkish Immigration
We are looking for one or two more presenters for our panel on the representation of the 50th anniversary of the recruitment agreement between Germany and Turkey in the German and Turkish media. We are particularly interested in contributions that examine the use of metaphors, images and sound in
- the German tabloid press
- the Turkish press
- German and Turkish television and radio
- webpages, internet videos, and other popular media.
Please send a 200-word abstract as well as a short bio-blurb to Karolin Machtans (kmachtan@calpoly.edu) by Tuesday, 14 February.
