Call For Papers
The Journal of History and Cultures (JHAC) is issuing a Call For Papers and welcomes article submissions on subjects in the field of history and cultures within a broad spatial and temporal range.
We are particularly keen to encourage articles that consider and engage with historical, cultural, political, social, and theoretical analytical research in new and original ways. JHAC is a multi- and inter-disciplinary journal which seeks articles promoting the interchange of perspectives and ideas to foster lively and productive academic debate.
JHAC is a fully peer-reviewed journal and is an excellent new publishing opportunity for both post-graduates and established academics. We encourage both article and review submissions. Articles should be 5,000-7,000 words in length, and full submission guidelines can be found at www.historyandcultures.com. We offer a £50 prize for the best article.
Reviews should be 750- 1,000 words in length. Review essays should be in-depth engagements with recent books which develop an argument to complement the reading of the text. A list of books available for review will be appearing on our website; alternatively, you can contact our reviews editor directly to request a specific book to review at jhac@contacts.bham.ac.uk.
Finally, we also invite you to join the JHAC community on both Facebook and http://twitter.com/UoBJHAC for regular updates.
Please contact the editors at jhac@contacts.bham.ac.uk with all submissions or if you have any questions.
Many thanks and best wishes,
The JHAC Editorial Committee
