Seeking panelists/chair for panel on Women, Violence, and the State. I am particularly interested in exploring questions about women as agents of violence on behalf of the state (military, police, prison, etc). What is the historical significance for feminism when narratives of female progress, inclusion, or even subversion ultimately perpetuate racist structures of power, violence, and oppression? Examples include female soldiers, prison guards, police, etc. All time periods welcome.
