|
All undergraduate, graduate, and independent scholars are invited to submit proposals to The Carolina Emerging Scholars Conference, hosted by the University of South Carolina at Sumter on May 12, 2012. This year’s theme is “Temptation and Redemption.” The motif of Temptation and Redemption can be found in almost every area of the Humanities. The keynote speaker is Dennis Covington, author of "Salvation on Sand Mountain: Snake Handling and Redemption in Southern Appalachia."
We invite papers exploring the complex relationship between Temptation and Redemption. Abstracts of 250 words or less are due by February 24, 2012. Submit abstracts electronically via email to carolinascholars@mailbox.sc.edu.
