CALL FOR PAPERS
Deadline Extended to Feb. 6, 2012.
The Program Committee of the Society of Appalachian Historians (SAH) invites proposals for single papers (abstracts of no more than 250 words) and entire sessions (overview and abstracts for each paper) for the annual meeting to be held in Morgantown, West Virginia, May 21-22, 2012. The Society of Appalachian Historians seeks to provide a forum for the dissemination and discussion of innovative historical scholarship on any aspect of Appalachia and encourages submissions by historians exploring new areas of inquiry. Proposals will be evaluated primarily on the originality and promise of the proposed work. To promote dialogue during the conference sessions, individuals whose proposals are accepted will be expected to submit completed papers for distribution to conference attendees in advance of the conference.
The deadline for proposals is February 6, 2012.
