Our first conference ran successfully on June 4-5, 2011. We are pleased to announce that the 2nd Annual APELA conference will be held October 2-3, 2012. Abstracts of 500 words are invited, in any of the following themes:

1. What is the "art" in Language Arts?

2. Using literature in English teaching

3. drama in English teaching

4. pop culture in the Language Arts classroom

5. Putonghua Language Arts Papers: Creating the Canon
