NECLAS Call for Panels and Papers
2012 Annual Meeting: Yale University, New Haven, CT
Saturday, November 3
The NECLAS Executive and Program Committees are now accepting panel and paper proposals on topics relating to Latin America for the 2012 Annual Meeting. We encourage proposals from all disciplines, including but not limited to: Anthropology, Archaeology, Cultural Studies, Environmental Studies, Economics, Ethnomusicology, Film Studies, Gender Studies, History, Human Rights, International Relations, Latino(a) Studies, Linguistics, Literature, Sociology, and Political Economy/Political Science.
To ensure time for both presentations and discussion in the 90-minute time slot, we suggest that panels consist of three or four presenters and a commentator/discussant, one of whom may be the chair. Papers can be in English, Spanish, or Portuguese.
Deadline for program applications is Friday 10 February 2012; all proposals will be reviewed at the NECLAS Executive Committee’s winter meeting. To submit a proposal please visit our website at www.neclas.org.
Please note: all paper presenters and panel organizers for the 2012 NECLAS meeting must be current members. Please update membership by clicking on the 2012 Membership link on the NECLAS website www.neclas.org.
