Papers should be focused preferably on one particular woman at any European court within the time frame of 1500-1900. The panel as a whole will explore the experiences and impacts of individual women at courts and how - through their passions, piety, and/or politics – asserted their independence and leadership in European court life.

Paper proposals should be limited to 300 words (please be sure to include name, institution, and title) and sent to Wade Trosclair (wadetrosclair@gmail.com) by February 8, 2012.
