Call for Panelists: AHA 2013: AIDS and African American Identity
|
|
Seeking a presenter for AHA 2013 in New Orleans to round out a panel on African American identity or politics and the AIDS crisis. Proposals that clearly engage the conference theme of "Lives, Places, Stories" will be given special consideration, especially those that follow the conference call for paper's stated intention to "explore the roles of environment and geography in all aspects of human history." The papers already confirmed for the panel deal with black gay identity around the beginning of the recognized AIDS epidemic, but proposed papers need not deal with queer sexuality.
