Request for Teaching Resources for New Website on Women Suffrage
I am currently part of a research team creating a new website called “Women Suffrage and Beyond: Confronting the Democratic Deficit,” headed by Dr. Veronica Strong-Boag, Professor of Women’s & Gender Studies and Educational Studies at the University of British Columbia (UBC).
The site is designed to link history, in the first instance in Canada and then beyond, to current issues in democracy and justice. One section of the site will feature teaching resources. If you have any pedagogical materials, particularly course syllabi, focused on representation and equity, we’d be delighted to post them to the site (with appropriate accreditation).
This site will be linked to UBC’s Centre for Women’s and Gender Studies on March 8, 2012. At that point it will appear with its ‘bells and whistles.’ A preview of the site can be found at: http://kirindesignstudios.com/suffrage/.
We look forward to hearing from you.
