This is the first area network within the Society for the Advancement of Socio-Economics (SASE) that makes Asia a central field for investigation for theories of institutional change and diversity of capitalism. Topics include state and capitalism, industrialization/deindustrialization, the emergence of inequalities, innovation and specialization, and the new dynamics of labor division at the global level.
