Participants sought for a panel on art, architecture, and religion for the 2012 American Studies Association Annual Meeting, to be held in San Juan November 15-18. Panelists are encouraged to consider the topic broadly, and topics may be historical or contemporary. Possibilities include the sacralization of space and landscape, controversies around mosque building, religious art, religious responses to art, and more. Scholarship on religions other than Christianity especially encouraged. If interested, please notify Rebecca Barrett-Fox at rbarrettfox@ku.edu promptly and send a 2 page CV and 500 word abstract by January 9th.
