110th Annual PAMLA Convention
October 19-21, 2012
20th and 21 century Quebec studies
This session aims to understand current imperatives in this specific geographical area. Quebec and French literatures have different specifics to be acknowledged, which is why this session is held separately from the French Session. This session is mainly interested in questions of identity, sexuality, marginality, pluri-culturality and migration, with regard to Quebec's singular historical background. The approaches can be varied (but should have a strong theoretical framework) and the list of interests is certainly not exhaustive.
Interested parties can submit paper proposals (using the online submission form). You may also send emails directly to me at: email@example.com with questions about the session. Please, submit your proposal via the online system, which should be available via the pamla.org website by the middle of January.
The deadline for proposers to submit their paper information to the PAMLA website (and to myself) is March 31, 2012.
Anyone accepted as part of the session must join PAMLA for the 2012 year by May 1, 2012 at the very latest, and must pay for the conference itself by September 15, 2012 at the very latest. It is now possible to pay both at once.
