The aim of the conference is to analyze and explore developments, trends, events, and in the contemporary political and social spheres of Russia and the US — from both domestic and international perspectives. Thus, panels will include viewpoints from various disciplines and perspectives on how issues of culture and politics are being reflected in areas such as education, literature, race, religion, ethnicity, electoral processes, civil society, and the rule of law. The conference aims to provide insight into the political and social contexts of Russia and the United States, both as seen in their respective countries and on the international stage. Therefore, papers/panels will be comparative in nature, exploring various aspects of Russian and American socio-economic politics and policies from a broad perspective, including how developments in these two countries are viewed and impacted by other societies, in particular (but not exclusively) those of Europe and Asia.
