For the third annual American Studies Leipzig MA-level Graduate Student Conference, we are calling for proposals on the significance of sports from an American and global perspective. Sports is of utmost importance when speaking of American and international cultural exchange, since it touches upon many aspects of life, such as politics, media, popular culture, history, and health. Although it is an omnipresent topic in various fields, we feel that it is often underappreciated in academia. Therefore, we would like to take the conference as an opportunity to highlight its relevance.
The conference encourages and facilitates international academic exchange on the MA-level by creating a platform for young European scholars to present their research, enhance their skills, and enrich their experience in the academic field.
