a) Application of modern technologies, such as GIS, GPS, ETS
and other initiatives for survey, resurvey and settlement.
b) Modern cadastral mapping, digitization and database
creation.
c) Creation and establishment of National Land Records
Modernization Programme Cell, modern records room,
state and district level data centres, issues of connectivity and other identified issues and constraints under National Land Records Modernization Programme.
Models of development
a) PPP model in modern land records management.
b) Human resource development for Land Records
Management.
Issues, challenges and future initiatives
a) Reforms initiatives in land records management; legal
amendments; and challenges faced in reform process.
b) Identification of new areas in land administration where
ICT application is possible for better governance.
c) Development of new policy framework; models and
theories; institutional arrangement; and any other
innovations in the area of land records management.
Eligible participants
As a national platform for discussion, this workshop is expected to be attended by eminent bureaucrats, academics,
researchers, lawyers, representatives from corporate agencies and activists from civil society organisations who will offer comments and suggestions on various aspects of land revenue administration, records management and other related issues.
