2012 NEH Summer Seminar in England
Interpretations of the Industrial Revolution in Britain
The National Endowment for the Humanities and the University of Massachusetts Dartmouth will offer a five week Summer Seminar for School Teachers, and for prospective teachers in graduate school, on Interpretations of the Industrial Revolution in Britain, directed by Dr. Gerard M. Koot, from June 24 to July 27, 2012. The seminar for 16 participants will be held for one week at the Institute for Historical Research in London and for four weeks at the University of Nottingham. NEH will provide a $3,900 stipend to cover accommodations, most meals, weekly field trips in England and about $800 toward international travel expenses. Applications are due March 1, 2012.
