The Graduate History Association of the University of Massachusetts Amherst invites graduate students to submit proposals for its annual conference. This year's conference is entitled “Networks, Connections, and Exchange: Historical Perspectives,” and will be held Saturday, March 10th, 2012.
Many movements are prompted by exchange and new connections, whether they be the result of cultural, economic, or authoritative shifts. How have networks produced change over time in history? What historical processes lead to exchange and new connections? We encourage submissions from any discipline and on a wide range of topics and periods. Particular attention will be given to submissions utilizing primary source archival research.
