CALL FOR ENTRIES: "Visualizing the Black Condition..." is a mixed media exhibition of art that draws upon the theme of the 2012 National Conference of Black Political Scientists (NCOBPS) Annual Meeting, "The Black Condition within Global Shifts and Persistent Structures of Inequality." Artwork featured in the show will draw inspiration from and address ideas about blackness in the Diaspora. All artists over 18 are welcome. All media welcome.
Three submitting artists, chosen by the juror, will be invited to participate on the panel on art and politics to talk about their work during the 2012 NCOBPS conference in Las Vegas, Nevada in March 2012.
Entry Process: The jurying process will be conducted from digital images only. Entrants should submit no more than three images per piece. Each entry must also include a completed entry form and entry fee with select images. Entries must be received no later than Monday, January 9, 2012.
